Project (2023) Moving Forward with our GOALS

Challenging year. We expanded into the East Lot. New roads, grading, brush removal, retaining walls, utilities, and events. This year was tough, but we achieved new goals with growth in our Macadamia Grove to over 80 Trees, regenerated 24 citrus trees, and planted new growth in our beehive. This year we had our second harvest of nuts, citrus, pomegranates, and persimmons. Marching forward in the belief that we will have a private label and sustaining farm.

Project (2022) Vision for Self-Sustaining Farm (Missions)

In 2014, I was introduced to the Executive Director of Gleanings in Dinuba, CA (near Fresno). During this initial visit and many subsequent trips, the founders of gleanings.org imposed a deeper vision for Aiding Children’s Villages, to start our own distribution center. We always wanted to bring a successful business model to Africa for self-sustaining farming; like how Gleanings planted in Dinuba, CA. Since we purchased the Ranch in November of 2020, we continue to work diligently each day toward those goals despite global pandemics, recessions, inflation, and the many California red-tape restrictions- we march forward.

Project (2020) Buying a House and Warehouse (Barn) November 2020

After Eleven years of brown bagging every meal, working 3 jobs most of the time, AND huge help from our parents, JILL and RYAN bought a house (ranch) with a BARN that can now be used as a WAREHOUSE for our businesses. We both cried and continue to be amazed at the little things, starting out of a garage, being faithful in the small transactions, we did it with JESUS.

Project (2019) WAREHOUSE Expansion #108 & #110 (2,200 Sq. Feet)

Suite #108 was our start and one year later we expanded into Suite#110, a total of 2200 square feet of warehousing. WHAT a blessing!

At this point, we are still buying storage auctions and have started buying liquidation pallets from Home Depot and Walmart.

Project (2018) Diane’s Garden Shed

Randol Duplex, Calle Bienvenido, Vista CA 92084

Building a garden shed for Diane. She wanted to try to start organizing her garden and this faithful daughter of our King paid Jeff Davis and me to clean, organize and build this beautiful shed. What a GREAT project. So thankful for the EXTRA blessings to help us pay our own bills and also put some savings into the next AFRICA trip.

Project (2017) WAREHOUSE West California

WAREHOUSE-Vista 512 West California Suite #108 92083 (EXPANSION)

September 2017 (Jeff Davis and Ryan Shankles)

From my one car garage to 1,100 square feet, our first official warehouse. WHAT a glorious DAY! Taking communion with my brother, breaking ground, giving thanks to our King and Savior Jesus, #praying, cleaning and working.
